To alleviate poverty and poor living conditions
Partnership Park Downtown Neighborhood Association (PPDNA) is committed to addressing housing conditions in the neighborhood through discussions and strategies with our partners. It is a goal of the association to eliminate substandard housing within the neighborhood and help residents maintain a stable residence in the neighborhood.
Increase owner occupied housing
PPDNA strives to make an effort to help support those residents who are able to purchase a home by accessing the necessary services. We love to see new homeowners move in and add stability to the neighborhood.
Improve the safety and quality of life of the residents
Through our safety committee, PPDNA encourages residents and other partners to communicate with the police and each other about situations that endanger the safety of the neighborhood. This process leads to awareness about what is taking place in the neighborhood and possible solutions to it.
Use our resources for residents who are in need
PPDNA’s Events/Resident Support Committee puts together charitable giving events to help with people’s food and holiday needs. The Events committee also helps to coordinate and staff the Neighborhood Baby shower and find vendors for the National Night Out Event. Recently an energy fund began development and an action/advocacy committee has been founded.
